The phrase “return on investment” has a myriad meanings and applications. While we often think of the financial implications, it’s often the impact on people’s lives that yields the greatest return. Our most recent apartment building, The Hennessy, is now home to once homeless U.S. Marine Corps veteran and third-generation Washingtonian Cedric Lucas. Whether the project is affordable or market rate, whether its occupants are owners or renters, we are honored and humbled that the properties we build have such a positive impact on the day-to-day lives of so many District residents.
